
Heart of Europe 2016 Organising Committee is glad to anounce to you the head of Chief Adjudicators Panel, Itumeleng Kenneth Mohanoe from South Africa.
At the age of 25 he is the Co-Founder and current vice president of the Gauteng Debating League in Gauteng, South Africa. Itumeleng is also a teacher by profession. He is the head of academics, vice principal, and head of extramurals. He was also member of Gauteng Department of Education Debate programs.
Additionally, he is one of the Student Mentors with the Johannesburg Student Council, and facilitates leadership training and advisory services to them, he was a vice chairperson of the Gauteng Schools Debating Board in 2009 and 2010, and served as the Development Officer for the South African Schools Debating Board in 2010.
Considering his adjudication experience, he has been involved in training and adjudication since 2007, and has been chief adjudicator for over 5 high school tournaments for 6 years and nationally for 5 years. Itumeleng has written coaching and mentoring material for leaders and debaters, and his debaters and mentees and prodigies continue to succeed in the world debating arena. This is the fourth year of Itumeleng’s participation at HOEDT as a member of the CAP, and his second year as the Head of the Chief Adjudication Panel. Itumeleng stands as the first and ONLY African to head a CAP in a European tournament. Apart from debating, he has participated at a number of other forms of competition, mostly related to Model United Nations. He is a trainer of many successful speakers and an author of several training manuals for debaters, adjudicators and trainers.
