The Organising Committee will manage the public transportation throughout the event in Olomouc. All participants are going to receive cards for free transport in DPMO vehicles (buses and trams) and a discount for Taxi fares at Alfa taxi s.r.o.

The participants are supposed to reach Olomouc themselves, but you are of course free to ask for assistance with researching the way. We will also be available on the phone.

Participants should inform organizers about their arrival time and whereabouts. There will be an organizer waiting for them at GIVEN MEETING POINTs such as the train station or the bus station in Olomouc.

Olomouc, due to its location right in the middle of Moravia, is easily accessible by road and train. Arriving from Prague you can take the fast motorway via Brno, from Vienna there is also a speedy and comfortable connection by road via Bratislava and Brno. Olomouc is also conveniently accessible by car from Poland and Slovakia.

FROM PRAGUE

THE WAY FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE TRAIN STATION:

The best way is to take the Airport Express bus (AE) directly to the main train station. The stop for Terminal 1 (Prague Vaclav Havel (Ruzyne) Airport – Terminal North 1) is situated in the municipal transit area in front of the Letiste Praha, Terminal 1 check-in hall. Terminal 1 is for flights to countries outside of the Schengen zone. A single ticket is 60 CZK / 2,26 EUR. The stop for Terminal 2 (Prague Vaclav Havel (Ruzyne) Airport – Terminal North 2) is situated in the municipal transit area in front of the Letiste Praha, Terminal 2 check-in hall. Terminal 2 is for flights to countries in the Schengen zone.

You can also take Bus 119 for the “Nadrazi Veleslavin” station, on which you can catch the Green Metro line (Line A) to “Muzeum” station, where you then change to the Red Metro line (Line C), direction “Letnany” (on your right after the transfer from A Line) and exit on the next stop at “Hlavni nadrazi”. Please note, tickets for public transport in Prague zone 1: day tickets – 110 CZK / 4,15 EUR, and single tickets (90 mins) 32 CZK / 1,21 EUR.

It is really easy, people will show you the way in case you get lost. This will take you 40-50 minutes.

THE WAY FROM STATION PRAHA HL. N. TO OLOMOUC

The train costs for CD (state) and REGIO JET (private) tickets start at 129 CZK / 4,87 EUR per person. CD Group tickets are cheaper but have to be booked 2 days prior to departure. In CD trains, there is no reservation needed, excluding the Supercity Pendolino. You can also use a private company, LEO Express, who have trains where the single ticket starts at 220 CZK / 8,30 EUR, although a reservation is obligatory.

The last option is ARRIVA company, their tickets are 190 CZK / 7,17 EUR.

BY TRAIN

It is easy to get to Olomouc, as it is located on a frequented railway path.

BY BUS AND CAR
