All rounds will take place at the Emanuel Potting Medical School
Emanuel Potting Medical School (Stredni zdravotnicka skola a Vyssi odborna skola zdravotnicka Emanuela Pottinga a Jazykova skola s pravem statni jazykove zkousky Olomouc) is going to host Heart of Europe 2018 for the first time. This year is fifteenth edition of the tournament and unfortunately we can not hold this year edition at Faculty of Science of Palacky University Olomouc because of contractuin work in the building.
Founder of the school, Emanuel Pötting-Persing, lived in 1818-1898. From 1880 he was the general vicar of the Olomouc archdiocese and the head of the church of the clergy at the Cathedral of St. Wenceslas. In the basic documents of Potting’s Institute, it is emphasized that the city will receive a school for the upbringing and education of girls; the school will bear the name of the Institute of Potting in Olomouc and that the language of instruction is Czech.
The ceremonial opening of the institute took place on 15 September 1895. For many decades, there have been many different types of schools and courses such as the School of Literature, Industrial (later the School for Women’s Economics), music, business, German, French, porcelain, wood burning, sewing and cooking.
The most significant and longest lasting in the school system of the Potting Institutewas a public business school founded in 1899 as the first business school in Moravia and the first Czech girls’ business school in the Czech lands.
At present, the school provides full secondary and tertiary vocational education in a total of 7 fields of study, of which 4 at the secondary medical school and 3 at a higher tertiray school of health care. At the secondary school, there is a medical assistant, nutrition assistant, laboratory assistant and assistant dental technician; at the tertiary education school there are graduated general nurse, a qualified pharmacist assistant and a qualified medical rescuer.

BEST Sportcentrum Olomouc is an excellent place to relax enjoying various sports such as bowling, darts, pool and squash. It is also a quality restaurant located right next to the tournament venue where most of the participants will be accommodated. Lecture for Adjudicators will take place here the first day of the tournament. Next day we will follow it by International friendship night where all the teams will have possibility to present their culture. We will have here also bowling afternoon in the mid of the course and Bye-bye party last night of the tournament.
